A GUERILLA GIRLS PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Guerilla Girls UK wish to announce a declaration issued by one of its members, the notorious and courageous Isadora Duncan.

"I, Isadora Duncan, do hereby declare that I did, in fact, during the summer of 1997, enter the building known as Number One Bloy St, Bristol and wilfully cover the entire building inside and out, with newspapers."

Guerilla Girls all over the country at this present time are making and producing artwork that is meaningful and relevant to the social environment around them, unconcerned with the recognition of the pompous artworld, they lurk in cities just waiting to be noticed by you.

Having produced works of art for centuries without being recognised some women artists have decided to find fame and glory for all women artists, by sharing the ownership of their unique works of art under the collective identity of "The Guerilla Girls".

We are not surprised to see that the demolition men working at Bloy St. Easton in Bristol, instantly recognised a work of art made by our own hairy hands and hope that their recognition and fast action has helped the General Public and you, the media and Art World, see that there is a place for women's art, and bananas of course.

We are happy to hear from any person interested in our work, communicate with us by ringing 01223 576017 or see our website growing before your eyes on http://www.var.org

At present there are 73 Guerilla Girls in the UK actively making art on behalf of all women artists. You could be one of them.
