Well I've always been interested in adverts, how they get your attention, how they endorse, inform, glamorise... It's got like the ad break comes on the telly and I watch them and then go and make my cup tea [the ads are the best bit].

and the extremes, have you noticed that litter can still endorse a product, more rubbish= more sales= more popular= better product. Did siziling Bridget Fonda inhale in jackie brown [yes she did] and are smoking ads still trying to be coool by not telling us something we already know [but can't be told]. The miracle is that we are surrounded by death every day, yet we live our lives as if we were immortal.

tiny things that mean so much, a receipt from a copy shop that does B&W A4 for only 2p a copy! Have you noticed that the bar codes on some cans of coke are silver and black [dosen't it amaze you that something so perfect can still be improved], and that the bar code on a 3 pack of condoms is almost as big as the packet.

my favourite coffee bar in soho [not just because it has one of my hayvend machines] has cakes and djs and stuff... Who roasts the best coffee in town and supplies places like Bar Italia and The Bean in Shoreditch?

gold hand bags, e-mails in fax machines and campbells tomato soup, yep my Mum used to give it to me as well...

my basic view or vision for the "adverts" is that with 6 to 10 of these "adverts" a site could attract hits from people of EVERY interest.

not as simple as it all might seem, "I like that I'll tell people about it". My soup e-mail got replies from interest and amusement to being called an arsehole. Is it that we live in a time where artists are just out to shock or more simply that we live in a time when people are out to be shocked? Who knows, who cares... The great thing about the web is that you can store things, like rooms full of candy, you can go back and see what a tin of Campbells tomato soup looked like in 1998. It may not seem important but I can't wait.

the point and the relavance with a porn "ad" is that porn sites have swamped search engines to the extent that even the most "innocent" of searches will result in links to porn sites. And the most innocent use of language on a web page will result in it being listed next to porn sites on search engines.
Words like girl, woman, women, sex are among the most heavily searched words on the net. To not use expletives is an idea but to edit half the language is impossible. Porn site have simply been the main contenders for high listings in the search engines, and as a result have affected the way the net is used, and perhaps much of the worry that people have.. [think about what a 14 year girl is likely to find in a search for, dolls, cute things..etc and where it all leads doesn't bear thinking about]. My view is that this traffic was misappropriated in the first place and in time things will balance out
