(Es)senses of Place is a Web Site created by artists; Kirsten Lavers and Martin Baxter.
It was commissioned by Cambridgeshire Libraries Service as part of National Libraries Week 1997
Selected Cambridgeshire residents were asked to nominate a favourite place in Cambridgeshire and associate it with a sensation relating to each of the five senses.
The result is presented both as a simple guessing game that you can play online and alternatively as straightforward pages.
You can only play the game version if you are using Netscape 2 or higher, because although Explorer has Javascript, it doesn't refresh frames properly. To find out if your browser will work, click the Question mark bottle...:
Click this bottle if you want to try the game
version of the site.
Not all Web Browsers will work with it. You can find out if yours can, by
clicking the question mark. |
Click this bottle if you would rather see the pages without the game element, if you are using Explorer, or if you already know that your browser doesn't support 'javascript' |
